Margaret Scott Dobbins: Environments Imagined
On View:
February 14 – May 17, 2026
Reception: March 21, 2026 3:00pm to 5:00pm

The Art Museum of Southeast Texas is pleased to present Margaret Scott Dobbins: Environments Imagined for its Winter 2026 Cafe Arts exhibition.

Growing up in Beaumont, Texas adjacent to a wooded area allowed her to develop an appreciation of nature and expand her imagination. During her studies at Lamar University, she continued her interest in composition and color. Discovering abstract expressionist art contributed to more experimentation with various art processes.
