Alicia Eggert: All the Light You See

Main Galleries

On view April 13 - July 7, 2024

This spring, AMSET will exhibit the artwork of Alicia Eggert for her first solo museum exhibition. Eggert is an interdisciplinary artist whose work gives material form to language and time, the powerful but invisible forces that shape our perception of reality. Alicia is currently the tenured Associate Professor of Studio Art in the College of Visual Arts & Design at the University of North Texas. All the Light You See will focus on light as a medium and include two site-specific installations, as well as several neon signs, lenticular prints, and an outdoor installation.

FotoFest presents-
Dennis Moncla: Freeze Frame

West Hall

On view through May 26, 2024

The Art Museum of Southeast Texas is pleased to present Dennis Moncla: Freeze Frame, as part of Houston’s biennial FotoFest project. This is AMSET’s third year participating. Local photographer Dennis Moncla was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. From an early age, he found solace and inspiration in the wilderness surrounding his hometown. Freeze Frame showcases Moncla’s ability to capture dynamic images of birds in the wild using his digital Sony A1 camera and by employing skills honed by decades of outdoor photography experiences.
